What this is

India's mid-market has nowhere to go.

A ₹40 crore owner is too large for the startup circuit and too small for the conglomerate table. No peer group. No capital that knows the name. No one to weigh the decision with at eleven at night. This is the most consequential business segment in the country and the least served.

WeBuild builds the room that should already exist.

iCurated, not sold

Every seat is reviewed

Admission is by application. We decline the seats that would dilute the room. That single decision is what makes everything else on this page possible.

iiMatched, not mingled

You arrive introduced

We read every application against every other and put names, times and places in your hand before you land. Nobody works a room alone here.

iiiA platform, not a day

Twelve months, not twelve hours

The introductions, the content and the room keep running for the year after. The next Edition multiplies what this one built.

The room is the proof, not the event.

II
The Room

One band. Held tight.

₹10 crore to ₹150 crore. That is the room. Nothing above it, nothing below it.

Below ₹10 crore, the startup ecosystem already works. Above ₹150 crore, the networks already exist and the doors already open. In between sits the business that carries India's employment, its manufacturing and its exports — and has never had a room of its own. We hold the band deliberately. It is why the person beside you is worth meeting.

Why owners come · i

To raise

Growth capital, structured debt, a partial exit, a listing five years out. The capital in this room deploys into businesses your size — and it came to find you.

Why owners come · ii

To modernise

Artificial intelligence, a real finance function, a sales engine that survives you. Not theory — the sixty-day version, from operators who have done it at your scale.

Why owners come · iii

To stop deciding alone

The ₹15 crore bet on a new plant. The son who does not want the business. The partner who has to go. Everyone here has weighed something like it.

III
How it works

You arrive already introduced.

Most events sell a seat and wish you luck. We engineer the outcome, and then we measure it.

  • i

You apply, and tell us the year ahead

Ten minutes. What the business does, what it turns over, and the three things you want to be true twelve months from now. That last answer is the one that matters.

  • ii

We read your application against every other

Five thousand applications, mapped against each other for what each one needs and what each one can give. The room is assembled, not filled.

  • iii

Your introductions land before you do

Names, reasons and a time to meet each of them, in your hand before you reach Chennai. Through the day more keep arriving — at the interval, over lunch, at the reception.

  • iv

It does not stop on the seventh

The sessions go to your library. The introductions continue for twelve months. Next February the room comes back, larger.

IV
The four themes

Four things compound.

Compound (பெருக்கம்) is the Tamil word for multiplication — the word an owner uses for compound interest. The mathematics of the next decade is not addition. Every session on the Programme sits under one of these four.

i · Capital (மூலதனம்)

Money that knows you

Growth capital, debt structuring, M&A, the listing decision. How a ₹60 crore business becomes a ₹600 crore business — and who writes the cheque that starts it.

ii · Capability (திறன்)

A modern operating system

Artificial intelligence, the finance function, the sales engine, talent. Not what it means in five years. What your next six months should actually look like.

iii · Connections (தொடர்பு)

The right peer, on time

One introduction changes a business. The only one of the four without a room of its own — it is the floor, the lunch, and the hours in between.

iv · Confidence (நம்பிக்கை)

Conviction you can carry

The hidden cost of ownership is the loneliness of the bet. This is a room that has made it, survived it, and will tell you the truth about it.

V
The Programme

One day, in order.

Four moments where all five thousand are in one hall. Three tracks in between, so you build the day your business actually needs. Every session is horizontal by design — the topic is universal, the examples span every industry in the room.

Bilingual

The entire Programme runs bilingually. Every session on every track carries live Tamil and English interpretation delivered to your seat — including the keynotes, the panels and the Awards. Choose your language at the start of each session, and switch whenever you like. ஒவ்வொரு அமர்வும் தமிழிலும் ஆங்கிலத்திலும் கிடைக்கும்.

The Awards

Twelve awards. One evening.

Judged by a jury of operators, for operators, and hosted bilingually. Nominations close 30 November 2026.

VIII
Partners

Own a category for twelve months.

Five thousand owners between ₹10 and ₹150 crore, a substantial share weighing a capital or technology decision inside the next twelve months. Partnership here is a category held for a year, not a stall held for a day. Categories are owned, not shared — and Edition One holds first right of refusal for the three Editions that follow.

Seats

Three tiers. One door.

Every tier sits in the same room, hears the same Programme and is held to the same standard. The tiers differ in the evening, the seating, and how far we go to make your introductions. Every seat is reviewed; a tier closes when it reaches capacity, not when a calendar says so.

Chennai Trade Center

Nandambakkam · Chennai 600032 · Tamil Nadu · India

South India's leading destination for exhibitions, conventions and industry gatherings — a dedicated event campus with pillarless halls, a convention centre, and the infrastructure to host gatherings of national scale.

Who gets in?

Owners, founders and promoters of businesses turning over between ₹10 crore and ₹150 crore, and the senior people who decide alongside them. We hold the band deliberately. If you sell to this room rather than sit in it, come as a partner — you will get far more out of it.

Can I follow the whole day in Tamil?

Yes. Every session on every track — keynotes, panels, masterclasses and the Awards — carries live Tamil and English interpretation delivered to your seat. You choose your channel at the start of each session and can switch freely.

What are pre-matched introductions?

You tell us what you are looking for when you book — capital, a CFO, a distributor, a buyer, a peer who has done what you are about to do. We map that against the room and put names, reasons and a time to meet in your hand before you land. It continues through the day and for twelve months after.

I am travelling in from outside Chennai.

Most of the room arrives on 05 February. Rates are held at four hotels near the campus, transfers run through the day, and the dinner is that evening for Grand seats. All of it lands on one page once your seat is confirmed.

Can I send a colleague in my place?

A seat may be transferred once, up to seven days before the Edition, subject to the same review. Write to apply@webuild.events.

Seats are open.

You will leave with the names, the ideas and the conviction your next year requires.
